Dr. Maria Frankenstein was a physician and scientist of the 19th century. The granddaughter of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, she and her brother Rudolph sought to recreate their grandfather's experiments.
After years of failures, local resident Juanita Lopez brought outlaws Jesse James and Hank Tracy to her doorstep for medical treatment. After being spurned by James, Frankenstein used Tracy in her experiments, turning him into a violent monster. Unable to exert control over the beast, she was murdered by her own creation.
