All that he sees, he conquers.

–Various, about Vyce's multiversal campaign

Lord Vyce was a human multiversal conqueror from the Channel Awesome Multiverse. A foe of Linkara and his crew, Lord Vyce sought to protect the Omniverse from the threat of The Entity, an eldritch being that sought to destroy all reality.

He commanded the species known as The Shades as well as the Vohrsoth, operated from his vessel, the Vyce Ship, and was an occasional ally / foe of fellow enemies of Linkara, Dr. Linksano, and Mechakara.

Biography[]

War with Linkara[]

Vyce angrily fantasized about vengeance against Linkara. When Judas Liz interjected that his anger may have been affecting his judgement, he threatened her for doing so. He then received a transmission from Linkara, who accused him of cowardice and baited him into a fight, while Judas Liz slunk away. (SKETCH: Youngblood #3)

Defeat and exile[]

Vyce arrived in Linkara's apartment, pledging to rid the universe of him, and walked straight into a laser blast from Linkara and Iron Liz. Liz charged him with a pair of swords, but he knocked her down with a single punch. Linkara charged him with another sword, and was knocked down as well. The two of them fired phasers at Vyce, who turned the beams back on them. Liz tried shooting him again, and had to dodge another blast of redirected energy before insulting her. Linkara hit him with a metal curtain rod, demanding that Vyce pay her respect, and Vyce knocked him to the floor, telling him she would die alongside him, before grabbing him by the neck and holding him to wall. Linkara pulled two sonic screwdrivers out of his pockets, and blasted them at Vyce's head, forcing Vyce to drop him. When Linkara tried to do it again, Vyce grabbed him by the wrists and began crushing them, until he was shot in the back with another phaser. Lt. Munro challenged him, before Vyce slammed him into the wall, knocking him unconscious. (SKETCH: Doctor Who Classics #7)

Vyce dragged Linkara and Iron Liz away, and contacted his ship to be teleported back, but received no response. Linkara and Iron Liz lept up. Vyce noticed his armor had been drained of power and demanded answers. Linkara opened a transmission to Angry Joe, who was leading the Angry Army in an assault on Vyce's ship. Vyce couldn't understand how an invading force had broken through the temporal shields, but Dr. Linksano revealed his hand in it. Linkara elaborated that months ago he and Linksano had come together, prompting Linksano to join Vyce as a spy in his ranks. Linkara then pointed out that by leaving the ship, Vyce had both left it open to attack and himself vulnerable. Vyce then pointed out that he had other sources of power. Linkara and Liz renewed their attack on him with their Power Rangers gear, with Liz being able to stab him. Offbalance, Vyce cried out in fear as Linkara, Liz, 90's Kid, Harvey Finevoice, and Lt Munro all opened fire on him with their respective weapons, leaving him unconscious. Linkara then selected an uninhabited and isolated planet in which to exile Vyce. Vyce then predicted a day that Linkara would beg for his help against the Entity. Linkara pointed out that slavers and self-appointed rulers were seldom good people, and left him with that thought. (SKETCH: Doctor Who Classics #7)

Return[]

Weapons and Abilities[]

Technology[]

  • Power armor: Armor that protected Vyce during his multiversal travels, built to withstand the conflicting natures of different universes.[2]
    • Energy redirection: Vyce was able to reverse energy beams (ex., from phasers) as energy pulses from his body or as spheres from his hands. (SKETCH: Doctor Who Classics #7)
    • Remote power supply: Vyce's armor was powered remotely from his ship.[3] (SKETCH: Doctor Who Classics #7)
    • Power reserves: When Linkara exiled him, he left Vyce with enough reserve power in the suit to survive for 400 years. (SKETCH: Doctor Who Classics #7)

Notes[]

  • Vyce has never encountered a Bigfoot.
  • Vyce was human, was American, and was in his thirties at the time of his death.[4]
  • While considering ideas for his contribution to "The Uncanny Valley", Lovhaug considered on having Will Wolfgram appear out of costume as Vyce.[4]
  • When asked whether Vyce would feel most threatened by Corporate Commander, Phelous, Kevin Baugh, Dark Nella, the Loch Ness Monster, Dr. Insano, Super Mecha Death Christ, and various others, Lovhaug joked that Vyce would fear the Loch Ness Monster most, before saying Super Mecha Death Christ.[4]
  • Lord Vyce still has followers that he left behind while conquering various realities[4], presumably unaware of his death.
