The Event Horizon was a faster-than-light star ship designed by William Weir. It was designed to warp space to allow for the faster than light travel, creating a functional worm hole by literally folding space.
Unfortunately, the ship managed to find some hellish dimension that not even our researchers have been able to pin down, and the Event Horizon's crew suffered immensely for it.
